Hydration for children – why is water not always enough?

Children are more prone to dehydration because of their small body size and constant activity, especially when they are sick.

During illness (such as diarrhea and vomiting): The child loses essential fluids and salts. The WHO recommends the use of oral rehydration solutions (ORS) as a first-line treatment.

Water alone: does not replace lost minerals such as sodium and potassium.

Hydralyte: A safe formula for children, it speeds up absorption and restores lost minerals, with pleasant flavors that make it easier for parents to give it to the child.

👶 Hydralyte is safe and effective for rehydrating children during activity or illness.
